Your first look at The Master and Missy as we approach the Doctor Who S10 Finale!

Waaay back in April, all those months ago, I was surprised as anyone to hear that John Simm‘s The Master would return to Doctor Who in Peter Capaldi‘s final season and, don’t forget, he was also present in the final days of David Tennant‘s Doctor, so it’s kinda interesting that he might have a hand in another demise, being the type of character he is and everything.

Of course, I’m not taking anything away from Michelle Gomez‘s magnificent Missy, another reincarnation of The Master but how will it all end and, truthfully, how the hell are we going to have two ‘Masters‘ up there at the same time?! In this new image, the pair are seen either side of the Doctor (Capaldi) which bears an instant resemblance, and twist, on that iconic poster that previously accompanied Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary special, The Day of the Doctor.

So starting next weekend, it’s the first of a two-part finale which also features the return of the Cybermen – alongside the original Mondasian Cybermen, for the first time in over 50 years. Doctor Who’s series finale starts with episode 11, World Enough and Time, at 6:45pm on Saturday 24 June, and concludes on Saturday 1 July with episode 12, The Doctor Falls – an extended, 60 minute episode, both on BBC One.

We’ll all find out soon enough what happens and, of course, don’t forget to share the Doctor Who love over on our Series 10 review blog which can be found by heading here!
