It’s awards season! Check out the full nominations list for the EE BAFTAs 2018

It’s that time of year again and, let’s be honest, the best film awards show is always the BAFTAs! Below we’ve got the full list from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, who announced the nominations this morning for the EE British Academy Film Awards that take place on Sunday 18 February at the Royal Albert Hall, London.

After national treasure Stephen Fry recently told us he’d be standing down from hosting, we have a new ceremony host and it’s, frankly, fantastic Joanna Lumley taking on the responsibility, we’re sure she’ll do us all proud. This year’s nominations are spread right across the genres but it’s Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water that comes out on top with 12, followed by Darkest Hour and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri who both receive nine nominations; Blade Runner 2049 and Dunkirk both have eight. I, Tonya receives five nominations, Call Me by Your Name and Phantom Thread have four each, Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool, Lady Bird and Paddington 2 (Our review is here for P2) receive three nominations each.

We’re also very pleased for indie thriller The Ghoul, which received a nomination for ‘Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer – well done Gareth Tunley and his team, you can read our review on that one here.
