Woah, this one came out of nowhere! Knives Out is from Director Rian Johnson – who you’ll know for Brick, Looper and Star Wars: The Last Jedi – but is an absolutely welcome throwback to the classic murder mystery whodunit with all the hallmarks of Agatha Christie… and it’s a trailer you have to watch. When renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) is found dead at his estate just after his 85th birthday, the inquisitive and debonair Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) is mysteriously enlisted to investigate.
