UPDATE 20/09/19! Here’s your first full look, this is amazing!
I must say that The Crown, on Netflix, was one of the most unexpected ‘must-watch’ original series that I was completely enthralled by, due to both the nature of the real-life connection and outstanding performances from the ensemble cast, that included Claire Foy and Matt Smith. When it was announced that Olivia Colman would take over in series 3 as Queen Elizabeth, as the show follows the chronological time-line as we move into 1964-1977, I was even more interested by what comes next.
Today Netflix have announced that The Crown (series 3) returns exclusively to Netflix on Sunday 17 November because, didn’t you know, Sunday-night TV is the new prime-time, without a doubt!
Written by Peter Morgan, the show stars Oscar-winner Colman as Queen Elizabeth II, Tobias Menzies as Prince Phillip, Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, Ben Daniels as Tony Armstrong-Jones, Josh O’Connor as Prince Charles, Erin Doherty as Princess Anne, Marion Bailey as The Queen Mother and Jason Watkins as Prime Minister Harold Wilson.
