Now here’s something to look forward to on Netflix! Co-created by Steve Carell and The Office US‘s Greg Daniel, Space Force (that name is inspired) is described as a new kind of workplace comedy, where the ‘stakes are high and the ambitions even higher’ – maybe think an essence of The Office with a little bit of space-related fun?
There’s a great cast on board as well, which not only includes Carell but also Lisa Kudrow, John Malkovich, Diana Silvers, Tawny Newsome, Ben Schwartz, Jimmy O. Yang, Noah Emmerich, Alex Sparrow and Don Lake.
Get your first looks in and around this post, and here’s some official info:
A decorated pilot with dreams of running the Air Force, four-star general Mark R. Naird (Carell) is thrown when he’s asked to lead the newly formed sixth branch of the US Armed Forces: Space Force. Sceptical but dedicated, Mark uproots his family and moves to Colorado where he and a colourful team of scientists and “Spacemen” are tasked by the White House with getting American boots on the moon (again) in a hurry and achieving total space dominance.
More attempts by Hollywood to ridicule a non-liberal president? How cliche’.
Hard pass.
