Sky Cinema launch the Sky Cinema Animation channel this July!

We’ve always been a fan of all kinds of animation here at Critical Popcorn, so we’re excited to share the news that Sky Cinema have announced the launch of Sky Cinema Animation – a brand new permanent channel bursting with the latest and greatest family-friendly animated movies. It’s available for all customers at no extra cost from 23 July, and via Sky Cinema Pass on NOWTV and it’s also an on demand service, so you can sign up as you wish!

Sky Cinema Animation is home to many of the biggest animated blockbusters (Angry Birds 2, The Secret Life of Pets 2 and How to Train Your Dragon 3) as well as fantastic movies families may not have discovered yet (Wonder Park, Spy Cat and Astro Kid). There’s plenty to choose from in this colourful line up, and some of the brightest, bravest and craziest characters to meet.

Angry Birds 2

In this sequel to the 2016 hit based on the popular mobile game, Bird and Piggy Islands are at risk once again from Zeta, the dastardly leader of Eagle Island. Red and Leonard join as a team to defeat Zeta’s bold schemes and save the day. Starring Leslie Jones and Josh Gad.

Despicable Me 1 and 2

With an array of feature-length Minions movies available at the fingertips, kids and parents alike can look forward to hours of wickedly funny entertainment from everybody’s favourite yellow alien troupe.
