Sarah Paulson stars in Ratched, the new series from the creator of American Horror Story – On Netflix from 18 September…

Nurse Ratched will see you now…

There’s always been something special about Sarah Paulson and so it’s great to see her leading the way in this epic first trailer for 8-part series Ratched, coming to Netflix from 18th September.

If you haven’t seen One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, then check that out before you see this, because this is inspired by unforgettable character of Nurse Ratched that film. Ratched has been created by Evan Romansky and this is his debut series, and what a way to start!

Starring Paulson as Mildred Ratched, you’ll also getting a killer cast that includes Cynthia Nixon as Gwendolyn Briggs, Judy Davis as Nurse Betsy Bucket, Sharon Stone as Lenore Osgood, Jon Jon Briones as Dr. Richard Hanover, Finn Wittrock as Edmund Tolleson, Charlie Carver as Huck, Alice Englert as Dolly, Amanda Plummer as Louise, Corey Stoll as Charles Wainwright, Sophie Okonedo as Charlotte and Vincent D’Onofrio as Gov. George Wilburn.

Evan Romansky has c-created with American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan (The Politician) and Jennifer Salt, plus directors include Murphy plus Michael Uppendahl, Melson Cragg, Jennifer Lynch, Daniel Minahan and Jessica Yu.

Ratched will tell the origin story of asylum nurse Mildred Ratched. In 1947, Mildred arrives in Northern California to seek employment at a leading psychiatric hospital where new and unsettling experiments have begun on the human mind. On a clandestine mission, Mildred presents herself as the perfect image of what a dedicated nurse should be, but the wheels are always turning and as she begins to infiltrate the mental health care system and those within it, Mildred’s stylish exterior belies a growing darkness that has long been smouldering within, revealing that true monsters are made, not born.

Ratched comes to Netflix from 18th September
