Robin Williams documentary Robin’s Wish comes to the UK in January 2021

Forever one of my all-time icons, and many millions across the Globe, Robin Williams is still sorely missed as both a glorious talent and a kind soul. After his death, so many stories of him helping others, or just being kind, were shared and so the hope of everything you believed he would be, was seemingly backed up by the wave of compassion and warmth.

Robin’s Wish is a new documentary, coming to the UK Digital and On Demand market this 4th January 2021, from Vertical Entertainment. Directed by Tylor Norwood (also serving as producer and cinematographer), the film investigates his final few months and with the support of Robin’s widow, Susan Schneider Williams, and several close friends and colleagues, the film sets to underscores what made Robin such a beloved figure, and explains how a surprise diagnosis of Lewy Body Dementia has helped answer questions, and shed new light, surrounding the events of his untimely death in 2014.

Director Norwood, had this to say:

It is a moment for us to understand the pain he felt as his talents and faculties rapidly slipped away, and moreover how in the face of that terrifying reality, he was more heroic, more compassionate than any character he ever played in any of his movies. So I hope this film rights a wrong that was done to him, and takes away a cloud that has unjustly hung over his legacy for far too long.”

Robin’s Wish will be available on digital and on demand, including the likes of iTunes, Amazon, Sky Store, Virgin Movies, Rakuten, Chili, Microsoft and Googlem from January 4th, 2021.
