I just had to share this amusingly bizarre, yet oddly mysterious, trailer for upcoming Lionsgate UK comedy Barb and Star go to Vista Del Mar. Co-written and starring Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo, who were the outstanding duo behind Bridesmaids, this first-look at some very welcome original comedy seems to have a huge amount going on and… I really want to see it!
Directed by Josh Greenbaum, the film follows lifelong friends Barb (Mumolo) and Star (Wiig), who embark on the adventure of a lifetime when they decide to leave their small Midwestern town for the first time…ever. Promising to feature romance, friendship and a villain’s evil plot… (the clues are in the trailer!), this could be just the right escapism we need at the moment, with it coming to rental service near you from 12 February!
