We may not of had the joyful escape of the cinema in the last year, well properly, but thankfully Disney+ and Marvel Studios have been keeping the good stuff coming! After the superb WandaVision surprised and captivated, we’re now onto The Falcon and The Winter Soldier (read our Episode 1 review here) and now Marvel have announced that the Tom Hiddleston-starring Loki series is set to stream from 9 June!
This time around, the God of Mischief steps out of his brother’s shadow in this new series that takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame – remember how Loki disappeared with the Tesseract? Well, now he’s a fish-out-of-water when he lands in a world of trouble with the bureaucratic TVA (Time Variance Authority)
Tom Hiddleston returns as Loki, and is joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant, with Kate Herron directing the series, and Michael Waldron as head writer. Here’s the new poster and an early shot, the original series starts streaming from 9 June….
