After a dip in form a few years ago, M. Night Shyamalan has been on the up in recent years – especially with the likes of Split and The Visit throwing him back into the smart side of surprise and intrigue. Today, we’ve got the first trailer for OLD, his new movie that comes to UK cinemas from 23 July.
OLD is described as a chilling, mysterious thriller and – going by the trailer – there’s definitely a lot of strangeness going on. Based around the graphic novel Sandcastle by Pierre Oscar Lévy and Frederik Peeters, we initially follow a family on holiday, who find a secluded beach but after staying there for just a few hours, they begin to rapidly age, pushing their entire lives into one day… but why?
There’s an impressively massive cast involved, hopefully that won’t over do things, but it includes Gael García Bernal, Vicky Krieps, Rufus Sewell, Ken Leung, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Abbey Lee, Aaron Pierre, Alex Wolff, Embeth Davidtz, Eliza Scanlen, Emun Elliott, Kathleen Chalfant and Thomasin McKenzie.
I’m not sure if there’s too much here but check out the trailer and let us know what you think below!
MNS does it again.I would a screener if ones available.
