In the realms of the Bill Murray and Rashida Jones-starrer On The Rocks, from Sofia Coppola, this new trailer for Here Today feels like a welcome hit of heartfelt feel-good, with all the right intentions.

Here Today is based on the short story The Prize by Alan Zweibel, it’s directed by and stars Billy Crystal alongside Tiffany Haddish, and Crystal and Zwebel also co-wrote the screenplay together – which gives this a proper passion project vibe.

The film follows veteran comedy writer Charlie Burnz (Crystal), who meets New York singer Emma Payge (Haddish), and the pair form an unexpected trust, that also comes with laughs, and their connection begins to redfine things in their lives quite significantly. I really liked the trailer, it made me miss the simple but super smart feel-good work of the likes of Nora Ephron, who remains dearly missed!
