Being a lifelong fan of all kinds of genres of music, I’ve always focused in on the drummer of every band I’ve loved. This isn’t just because of Animal in The Muppets, and his dedication to the craft, but also because a great drummer is absolutely KEY to a top class band, and documentary Count Me In is set to highlight these talented mad people.
Available to stream now via Netflix, Count Me In includes insights from the drummers of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, The Police, Queen and Pink Floyd, was recently picked up acclaim from none-other-than The Rock who highly recommends as well! Drummers featured in the film include Roger Taylor, Stewart Copeland, Taylor Hawkins, Nick Mason, Chad Smith and Cindy Blackman Santana, and they take us through their beginnings, influences and inspirations though conversation, concert footage, original content and concludes with a thrilling drum off.
Directed by Mark Lo and produced by John Giwa-Amu, Count Me In is edited by Andrew Hulme – You ready? Here’s your trailer!
Embankment Films have brought it to Netflix, and keep an eye out for Giwa-Amu and Lo’s next collaboration, as that’ll be a five-part celebration of music’s power to connect people, which will be packed with a range of A-list music talent.
