The more I hear about the new Scream, from Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media Group and out on 14 January 2022, the more I cannot wait to see what this fresh team have created!
If you saw my previous post, when the first trailer hit the world, then you’ll know I’ve literally been a fan since 1996 and while there was a slight falter in this franchise, yes you Scream 3, even that had some great ideas, and I loved how Scream 4 brought everything to the modern world. While 2022’s Scream links the old and the new, there’s enough secrets here for it still not to be too spoiled because I’m sure there’s a host of surprises ahead for us!
The deliciously messed up Ready or Not directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett have taken on this beloved world of Woodsboro and, from what we know, if it wasn’t for them, then we may not have seen so many of the original cast back, so this feels special already. Get yourselves involved with this great featurette now:
Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past. Neve Campbell (“Sidney Prescott”), Courteney Cox (“Gale Weathers”) and David Arquette (“Dewey Riley”) return to their iconic roles in Scream alongside Melissa Barrera, Kyle Gallner, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Dylan Minnette, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Marley Shelton, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Sonia Ammar.
