Time for the Christmas dive and, yup, I love it! 8-Bit Christmas is set in suburban Chicago in the late 1980s, and centers on 10-year-old Jake Doyle’s (Winslow Fegley) quest to get the latest and greatest video game system for Christmas.
Starring Neil Patrick Harris, June Diane Raphael, David Cross, and Steve Zahn, the film is directed by Michael Dowse from a screenplay by Kevin Jakubowski, based on his book of the same name. Sure, it’s got an updated A Christmas Story vibe but at it’s least not trying to remake it… and, best of all, it looks like an equally silly and good-hearted seasonal offering, which is what it’s all about!
This is what Christmas is all about, and especially seasonal films, looks fun! It comes to Digital on 26 November:
