There’s nothing quite like a creepy doll to get the horror crowd intrigued, and when you’re delving into the minds of James Wan and Akela Cooper (Malignant), then you should expect something rather unsettling.
Today, we’re sharing the official trailer for Blumhouse’s new horror thriller M3GAN, directed by Gerard Johnstone (Housebound), which is based around a life-like doll programmed to be a child’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally, thanks to the wonders of Artificial Intelligence. Designed by roboticist Gemma (Allison Williams), M3GAN is tested out with her recently orphaned 8-year-old niece, Cady (Violet McGraw, The Haunting of Hill House), and while it starts out positively, well… you know what to expect but it IS quite creepy!
Of course, there’s an easy reference to Chucky, for all the reasons, but it’s definitely flipped up another level and that’s a good lead cast – take a watch:
