You know, it’s been 8 whole years since I sat down to watch Guardians of the Galaxy at London’s Leicester Square for an early press preview, I didn’t know what to expect at the time but, man, I was impressed. While I definitely feel a lot comes down to the unique style and substance of director-in-chief James Gunn, there’s also the ensemble cast that balance out the silly, the brave, the entertaining and the unusual – all in the best way.
Somehow, 2023 sees the end of another era with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 on the way from 5 May – this fresh trailer was revealed by none-other-than Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, who introduced Zoe Saldana at CCXP22, and then offered up this trailer debut to the audience and now… us.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is written and directed by Gunn, and finds Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) reeling from the loss of Gamora (Saldana), and now he must gather his team around him to defend the universe as well as protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not successful, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them. Tears ahead? Memories fondly tasted and futures changed forever?
Baby, in the meantime wait and see…

GOTG Vol. 3 stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter and Maria Bakalova.
