With strong audience praise coming out of the London Film Festival [LFF] for Andrew Scott‘s performance in this film, we thought it was an ideal time to share StudioCanal’s emotive official trailer for Elsinore, directed by Simon Stone (The Dig) and written by Stephen Beresford (Pride).

Based on the life of actor Ian Charleson, the film is clearly a moving tale, inspired by the true story actor Charleson who faced incredible odds while preparing to give the performance of his life in Hamlet at the National Theatre. Starring Andrew Scott as Charleson, the film also stars Olivia Colman, Billie Piper, Johnny Flynn, Luke Thompson, Monica Dolan, Juliet Stevenson, Joe Locke, Adeel Akhtar, Matthew Beard, David Dawson, Kadiff Kirwan, Dickie Beau, and Peter Mullan.
