With every film studio postponing, delaying and moving around dates for their big film releases in the past 12 months, it’s no surprise that even the mighty Walt Disney had to follow suit but today we’ve got a full rundown of the UK dates set for 2021 and 2022! This list contains their live-action, Emma Stone-starring Cruella, the long-awaited Scarlett Johansson-leading Black Widow, as well as Disney-Pixar’s Luca.
The first big news is that, especially after the success of Raya and The Last Dragon, Cruella and Black Widow will launch simultaneously in cinemas and on Disney+, with Premier Access in most Disney+ markets on Friday 28 May, and on Friday 9 July respectively.
Similar to the launch of Disney and Pixar’s Academy Award-nominated Soul, that we absolutely loved (see our review here), over Christmas, their Luca will stream directly into homes worldwide exclusively on Disney+ beginning Friday 18 June, as a special offering to kick-off the long-awaited summer season. if you live somewhere where it’s not available, the film will head to cinemas, with those dates to come.
