Must watch, world-crushing trailer for Roland Emmerich’s disaster epic Moonfall

In 1969, we all went to the moon but in 2022, the moon comes to us! This new trailer blew my mind for the sheer unadultered escapism and pure joy, are you ready for Roland Emmerich to rock your world? Literally? WITH THE MOON? Then this trailer for Moonfall is definitely for you…

In Moonfall, a mysterious force knocks the Moon from its orbit around Earth and sends it hurtling on a collision course with life as we know it. With mere weeks before impact and the world on the brink of annihilation, NASA executive and former astronaut Jo Fowler (Halle Berry) is convinced she has the key to saving us all – but only one astronaut from her past, Brian Harper (Patrick Wilson) and a conspiracy theorist K.C. Houseman (John Bradley) believes her. These unlikely heroes will mount an impossible last-ditch mission into space, leaving behind everyone they love, only to find out that our Moon is not what we think it is…

Directed by Emmerich and written by Roland Emmerich, Harald Kloser, Spenser Cohen, the film also stars Michael Peña, Charlie Plummer, Kelly Yu, Eme Ikwuakor, Carolina Bartczak, and Donald Sutherland – Enjoy:

Moonfall opens in the US on 4 February, 2022.

    • Roland Emmerich is kinda unique with the huge scale side of things, I know lots can be cheesy in this form, but he kinda makes a true spectacle!

And I love indie films, and low key stuff, but this is proper blockbuster work.
