If you’ve never read Stephen King’s Carrie, it’s the best place to start with his work, and while Brian De Palma‘s 1976 version, starring Sissy Spacek as the titular character, certainly holds a lot of power, I think there’s always been a space for a deeper reimagining of the stellar novel.

After seeing the first images for Mike Flanagan’s Carrie just the other week, San Diego Comic Con 2026 opened up the opportunity for the debut trailer and it doesn’t disappoint. It holds just enough intrigue back, with key moments clearly involved but a whole new psychological intensity to tap into.

Revealed by showrunner and director Flanagan after a panel with all the main cast at the weekend, it’s been confirmed that all 8 episodes of the anticipated new Original series will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on October 7, in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide… here’s the trailer:
