UPDATE: After nearly 24 hours last night of of Dunkirk sea and beach footage we’ve now been treated to the first ‘proper’ trailer and here it is:
I wouldn’t necessarily call myself a Chris Nolan fanantic but I’m definitely a huge fan of all his work to this day and so, yeah, I am one really, aren’t I? Dunkirk is something I’ve been very intrigued about for a while now because while Nolan’s been immersed in his Batman Universe and all things dream-like, this movie gives him – and a sterling cast – an opportunity to show us some very real truths surrounding the even more real Dunkirk evacuations in 1940.
Also, if you head now to www.dunkirkmovie.com (thanks to first-time feature star Harry Styles) there’s a livestream showing us the harbour and beach, with maybe something else to come… a trailer perhaps… for the film that opens on July 21st, 2017.
Dunkirk features an all-star cast that includes Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh, and Cillian Murphy as well as newcomer Fionn Whitehead and Harry Styles. Christopher Nolan is directing from his own screenplay and he’ll also be utilizing a mixture of IMAX and 65mm film to bring the story to the screen. The poster is below (plus another below that from The Independent) and we’ll keep an eye out to bring you the trailer as soon as it launches.
