OH MY WORD. I literally just applauded this trailer after watching it for the first time, it’s absolutely as enormous as the Titans involved! From Warner Bros, Godzilla II: King of the Monsters opens in cinemas on 31st May 2019 and we will definitely be there.
Directed by Michael Dougherty, in a film he’s co-written with Zach Shields, the film sees the return of Ken Watanabe and Sally Hawkins from their Godzilla roles; plus it stars Vera Farmiga, Kyle Chandler, Millie Bobby Brown, Bradley Whitford, Thomas Middleditch, Charles Dance, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Aisha Hinds and Zhang Ziyi.
This time around, we delve into the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. So, the story goes, when these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.
I was a huge fan of Gareth Edwards‘ Godzilla, a film I find often underrated, so this is way up my street, I want to be a part of it’s colossal ambitions. Watch the trailer now:
UPDATE: And NEW posters!
I’m so excited for this!!! Looks amazing.
