UPDATE 27/7/21!
Let’s get one thing out of the way, I’ve loved all the Ghostbusters films for different reasons. From Ivan Reitman‘s original 1984 cult classic, heck I was a very young thing when I first saw it in the cinema, to the ridiculously crazy Ghostbusters II (A Chiiiild!) and I also enjoyed Paul Feig‘s take – where the most misplaced thing was probably the cameos but thankfully we gained the glorious Kate McKinnon.
Now that’s done, it’s time to delve into the hopeful goodness of Jason Reitman‘s Ghostbusters: After Life, which we’ll finally get to see in the Autumn of 2021! This teaser – which follows the previous trailer – makes me even more on board for some of this amusingly cute darkness, which has a Baby Groot vibe, but is championing something old, something new, something…. well, marshmallowy… enjoy this entertaining lunacy now:
Starring Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, McKenna Grace and Paul Rudd, the film was written by Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan, the next chapter in the original universe is Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and after a single mum and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind….
