In what has seemed like forever, it’s great news that outdoor festivals and events have started to return, we all need something to look forward to and A Perfect Day, from established promoters Kilimanjaro, which is taking place in a lush grounds of Powderham Castle near Exeter, looks like a great way to spend a summer Sunday on 3rd July!
While we’ll also be in the company of James Morrison, Tom Odell, The Shires, Gabrielle and local folk heroes Wildwood Kin, this all leads up to the magnificent David Gray bringing his 20th Anniversary White Ladder tour to Devon! I’ve been a fan of Gray for over 20 years, and White Ladder shot the ace songwriter into the music stratosphere and he’s gone on from strength to strength since, and had a wealth of work beforehand as well.
As well as being very aware of how good a show Gray will put on, and he is a multi-platinum, multi-Brit and Grammy winner, Tom Odell is also a stupendous live act who’ll give 100% and while I haven’t seen Gabrielle or James Morrison yet, I’m sure they’ll offer up a great mix of classic hits and crowd-pleasing moments. When you add in The Shires and Wildwood Kin, it’s going to be a fun day, and well worth the wait.
So, bring your picnic blanket for A Perfect Day, get your dancing shoes and enjoy the ultimate day out with music, great facilities and fine food and drink!
